Sourdough is all the craze! But why?! Sourdough baking is a method of long-fermenting that provides a natural leavening. The entire process takes as much as 2 days for one loaf of bread! Because of the fermentation process, sourdough has a lower glycemic index than other white breads. The ingredients are simple and easy to digest. There are no added preservatives; just Flour, Water, Salt!
Ingredients matter! We use organic, non-GMO flour. Wheat is often a highly sprayed crop and using conventional flour could mean consuming residual pesticides. We believe organic matters. We also use filtered water and Celtic Sea Salt. Celtic Sea Salt contains substantially more trace minerals than traditional salt due to it’s sustainable harvesting methods.
